AppleCare One Family Arrives With $49.99 A Month Fee

Apple has officially launched AppleCare One Family in the United States, with iPhone, Mac, and iPad users able to sign up for a plan that covers the products of up to six people.

The new AppleCare One Family plan is priced at $49.99 a month and covers all of the Apple devices owned by people in a Family Sharing group.

Any Apple devices that are already protected by AppleCare at the time the plan is taken out will be automatically covered, while purchases made less than 60 days ago will also be enrolled. Devices that are up to four years old can also be added, although AirPods and Beats products can only be added up to a year after their purchase date.

Another limitation is that a maximum of six Apple Vision Pro headsets are covered by the new AppleCare One Family plan.

AppleCare One Family includes accidental damage and loss coverage for iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, with the same deductibles that apply to standard AppleCare plans also applying here.

Any device added to AppleCare One Family will be covered as long as the plan remains active, but devices must connect to the internet at least once a year to maintain coverage.

The AppleCare One Family plan is only available in the United States currently, so those in other parts of the world must continue covering their devices individually for now.
