Apple announced the iPhone Duo earlier this month, and it won’t officially go on sale until next month. But it seems that Apple fans aren’t the only ones counting down the days — celebrities are reportedly also keen to pick up Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
New Apple CEO John Ternus attended the recent Emmy Awards on Monday night, and he took an iPhone Duo with him.

Page Six reports that footage showed Ternus showing the iPhone Duo off on the red carpet, and it claims celebrities are “hitting him up for the phone privately” before the awards started.
The story goes that Ternus attended an Apple party on the night before the Emmys, with stars and industry insiders present. And even among the big hitters in attendance, Ternus was a man in demand.
“The new phone is big news,” said one top Hollywood exec, who added that they heard of at least one star, “asking [Ternus] to get him on the list” for a phone. Joked the source about who gets the phones: “It’s like CEOs. That’s like the ‘Eddy Cue list of illuminati.’” [Cue is Apple’s senior vice president of services and health.]

For everyone else, the iPhone Duo goes up for preorder on October 16 and will officially go on sale a week later on October 23. The entry-level model with 256GB costs $1,999.
