Apple Watch Series 7 Orders Begin This Friday, Availability From October 15

Apple today announced that the new Apple Watch Series 7 will go up for pre-order on Friday, October 8. Those who pre-order will begin receiving their new watches on Friday, October 15.

Apple says that pre-orders will begin at 5 a.m. PDT and people will be able to place their orders online and via the Apple Store app on iPhone and iPad.

The updated Apple Watch Series 7 might not be the big redesign many had been touting, but it’s still a very reasonable update for anyone who wants to be able to take advantage of features like larger screens and smaller bezels.

The new Apple Watch Series 7 will also benefit from faster charging, making it a much better option for people who want to be able to use it during the day while still tracking their sleep at night.

The design of Apple Watch Series 7 is refined with softer, more rounded corners, and the display has a unique refractive edge that makes full-screen watch faces and apps appear to seamlessly connect with the curvature of the case. At just 1.7 mm thin, the narrower borders of Apple Watch Series 7 maximize the screen area of the display while minimally changing the dimensions of the watch itself. Apple Watch Series 7 also features a user interface optimized for the larger display, a new QWERTY keyboard, plus two unique watch faces — Contour and Modular Duo — designed specifically for the new device. Users benefit from the same all-day 18-hour battery life, now complemented by 33 percent faster charging.

Apple announced the new Apple Watch during the iPhone 13 event last month. Priced start at $399 for the 41mm Apple Watch Series 7 and increase from there.
