Apple TV+ Reportedly Bags Upcoming F1 Movie Starring Brad Pitt With Lewis Hamilton Involved

Apple TV+ has reportedly picked up the rights for an upcoming movie that will star Brad Pitt and already has British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton on board, although it isn’t clear in what capacity.

According to a Deadline report, Apple TV+ beat out competition from the likes of Sony, Paramount, Netflix, and Amazon to sign the movie that involve Joseph Kosinski alongside Jerry Bruckheimer.

Pitt will reportedly play an aging racing driver who works with a younger driver as they try to claim glory.

Apple is in exclusive negotiations and will close the first big film package of the new year. That’s the highly competitive race to acquire an untitled pitch package that will have Brad Pitt playing a racer who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver and take his final stab at glory on the track as the younger driver’s teammate.

Deadline believes the movie cost Apple up to $140 million to pick up.

It isn’t yet clear when the movie will be ready for viewers to watch but it should already be one that whets the appetite of Apple TV+ subscribers. Priced at just $4.99 per month, Apple’s service is among the best value in streaming right now — especially if you get it as part of the Apple One subscription bundle.
