Apple Announces October 13 ‘Hi Speed’ Event For iPhone 12 And More

We might be doing it a month later than we expected, but we now have an iPhone event to look forward to and Apple has given us the date. October 13 is the day, so get your calendars marked accordingly.

The event itself will take place at Apple Park at 10 am PDT and it will likely follow the same theme that we’ve seen in recent events – a pre-recorded video that will be streamed to anyone who wants to see it.

So what do we expect to see Apple announce during the event? New iPhones are a given, with two iPhone 12 and two iPhone 12 Pro models expected. We’ve seen these handsets rumored into oblivion of late and there isn’t an awful lot we don’t already know.

Still, wouldn’t a nice surprise be pretty awesome? Touch ID built into the sleep/wake button has an outside chance, but nothing more,

We’re also hearing rumors that a new, more powerful Apple TV is in the works. Apple is said to be wanting to push Apple Arcade gaming to the next level and a more capable Apple TV is a big part of that. Will we see it this month? Who knows.

Next, AirPods Studio; wireless headphones that work similarly to AirPods Pro have been heavily rumored and we’ve seen leaked images of late as well. Apple has also stopped selling third-party headphones in it stores, suggesting it has something incoming.

Now? We sit back and wait. All will be revealed soon enough!
