Leaked Images Purportedly Show Apple’s AirPods Studio Sport Design

A brand new series of leaked images have filtered into the public domain via the @choco_bit Twitter account claiming to show Apple’s often-talked-about AirPods Studio over-ear headphones.

We’ve been hearing about the potential for Apple to add to the AirPods lineup with a stunning set of over-ear headphones for quite a while now.

As it stands, the AirPods lineup offers an entirely ‘in-ear’ experience with consumers often having to purchase a pair of headphones by Beats – or other manufacturers – if they want something that goes over-the-ear and provides that type of experience. If the speculation is accurate, then the AirPods range will soon cover that consumer desire.

Bloomberg has been one global outlet that has reported that Apple will be releasing a minimum of two models of the AirPods Studio. One of those models will be a more affordable, fitness-based variant that will presumably use lighter materials and will come with a more breathable design in order to cater to the fitness-loving individual.

This latest leak claims to be of the aforementioned Sport version of the speculated AirPods Studio. Although the images aren’t of the highest quality, they do seem to corroborate Bloomberg’s earlier commentary on the likely design of that variant.

In addition to falling into the AirPods lineup, earlier speculation also suggests that the likely-expensive AirPods Studio will come with a modular-based design that would allow punters to change the experience and build a set of headphones to meet their own personal taste.

At the time of writing, Apple hasn’t publicly discussed the existence of AirPods Studio and there are no expected release dates. With that said, references to the product have shown up in the iOS 14 codebase – which was released to the public yesterday – so we can live in hope that an official announcement isn’t a million miles away. As for the expected price of the product, it is suggested that prices could start at $349.00 and would presumably rise for the “premium” version of the product.

Check out the image for yourself if you are excited for the AirPods Studio to become an actual Apple product.
