A New HomeKit-Capable Pan-And-Tilt Eufy Camera Is In The Works

HomeKit Secure Video support is coming to Eufy cameras already, but now it looks like a whole new camera is in the works. According to a report, we can expect a new Eufy camera that will support panning and tilting, as well as the aforementioned HomeKit.

While Eufy hasn’t yet confirmed its existence, this new camera would be the first one from the which isn’t static.

Being able to pan and tilt a camera has obvious advantages, and it sounds like it’s in the works.

It appears that Eufy managed to out its own camera via a Facebook ad. And when iMore went snooping, references to the camera were spotted in the Eufy Security app.

After seeing the post, we were able to locate a name for one of the cameras, which is listed as being in “BETA” in the eufy Security app. The eufy IndoorCam Pan 2k as its name suggests, will sport some form of panning and tilt functionality which would be a first for a HomeKit camera. Support documents for the camera list Bluetooth connectivity along with Wi-Fi, microSD card compatibility for storage, activity zones, and RTSP streaming support.

We don’t yet have any details on when the camera will arrive, but it does seem that it’s unlikely to be too far out – especially if Facebook ads are already rolling. Furthermore, there also appears to be an additional camera shown in the content material, but we don’t have further details on it just yet.
