Apple Announces New Beats Flex Wireless Earbuds Priced At Just $49

With all the fuss about new iPhones and iPads it was easy to miss a new pair of Beats earbuds that snuck out the door. Say hello to the Beats Flex wireless earbuds.

They’re priced at just $49 and offer a great alternative to EarPods for anyone who needs to get some earbuds now their new iPhone doesn’t have anything in the box.

The new buds will go on sale on October 21 and will be priced at $49 each. You’ll get up to 12 hours of battery life from a single USB-C charge, and you can choose between black and yellow color options on day one. There will, however, be new colors arriving next year – blue and gray, for example.

“I’m excited to announce that Beats is launching its most affordable product ever— packed with incredible audio technology from Apple,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Beats, Apple Music, and International Content. “This will allow even more music fans around the world to experience the quality sound and design Beats products are known for.”

The new buds will also have magnets to hold them together when not in use, with sensors also playing and pausing audio when those magnets are activated.

At a time where Apple is removing earbuds from its iPhone boxes, these could be a good option for many. And they’re wireless, of course. Something EarPods can’t boast.
