Apple Smart Battery Case For iPhone 11 Pro Review [Video]

Here’s our video review of the recently released Apple Smart Battery Case for iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

As rumors speculated, we finally have Apple’s Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Apple recently released the Smart Battery Case and we now are available to purchase it.

Just like the last generation, these cases will cost you $129, but this year, there is a new feature that may justify that cost. Well, not really. But there is a new dedicated camera button that extends the functions of this case.

The Smart Battery Case is meant to extend battery life up to 50% and protect your iPhone 11. It is made with a soft-touch silicone exterior similar to the silicone Apple cases. Inside, there is a soft microfiber lining to help protect that shiny new iPhone from scratches. The case has a soft elastomer hinge on top to bend back and easily slide your iPhone in and out of the case.

The new feature on this iPhone 11 Smart Battery Case, though, is the new dedicated camera button that launches the Camera app from anywhere on the phone whether it is unlocked or locked. The button sits on the side of the case and with a simple press on it, your Camera app launches.

From there, you can quick-press the button and it’ll take a photo, or when you long-press the button, it’ll take a video. So when taking photos and videos in landscape, it’ll feel more natural, like a camera.

This case is a bit different from your traditional battery cases as it is integrated with iOS. This is probably one of my favorite features because I can know at all times the exact battery life of my case by simply swiping left and looking at my battery widget. There, it’ll display the battery life of my iPhone and Smart Battery Case separately. You can also see it on your lock screen once you connect your iPhone while it’s inside the Smart Battery Case. Here, it’ll show the battery life of both.
