Despite Microsoft’s best efforts, Windows 7 antipiracy measures have been compromised yet again. Hackers have managed to crack the activation procedure of Windows 7 which does not even asks you to enter your product activation key for Windows 7. With this hack, users can use Windows 7 for as long as they want without having to enter any key.

Sony Ericsson’s official page for the Xperia X10 has listed February 2010 as the expected launch date for its new Android-powered handset. This news shouldn’t come out as a surprise since Sony Ericsson previously made it pretty clear that X10 will hit the shelves in the first quarter of 2010. Xperia X10 is Sony's first entry in the Android space which introduces a new user interface platform called UX (codenamed Rachel) and new apps dubbed Mediascape and Timescape. This new user experience attempts to provide a centralized spot for all your communications, allowing you to view your tweets, photos, emails and conversations from a single spot.
In continuation of its Droid Does advertising campaign from last month, Verizon in pursuance of anti Apple campaign, has launched yet another ad war against iPhone, which is totally Droid centric, but this time a little personal on Steve Jobs as well. Although the ad is Droid specific, it fails to express or tell any strength or specialty of Droid feature wise, and is rather totally focused on highlighting and targeting the weakness of iPhone. Shown below is a page printed in the recent edition of Sports Illustrated magazine with the following text.

For many, Android on a 3.5 inch capacitive multi-touch screen in an iPhone –like package will be a dream phone to have. This is what exactly a Chinese manufacturer has tried to do with APhone A6. APhone A6 is an Android powered iPhone clone boasting of a dual core processor, 2.0 megapixel camera and with an iPhone –like theme running on top of Google Android OS. It is believed to support multi-touch functionality which is kind of strange, given that it runs on Android 1.5 which doesn’t offer support for multi-touch screens.
It is astonishing to see how fast Microsoft fans circle is expanding. It’s now getting even more popular among the young lot. Will Smith, a Fifth grader and just 10 years old, has unbelievably not only upgraded all four of his family's computers to Windows 7, but has written and sung a beautiful song “Windows 7 is rising” , which is set to the tune of CCR's "Bad Moon Rising." This young kid has done all at his own initiative in his school’s talent show held this year. The video upload on YouTube is from one of his rehearsals.
International Business Times has made a nice comparison of HTC HD2 and iPhone 3GS by pitting the two in a head to head contest. To some extent, they have been successful in rightly proving that HTC HD2 is far superior to iPhone (in terms of hardware anyway). Different aspects of the two like: size, display, camera & video recording, connectivity and wireless connection, OS, processor, music and video, keyboard, storage and memory, power and battery, Price tags and browsing have been compared. The final verdict shows that HD2 wins in 8, where as iPhone in 1, and there are ties on 4 other aspects.
The habitants of the Planet Earth and especially the NASA scientists, were indeed highly delighted by discovering the presence of water on its satellite planet Moon. Earlier in our post, we have given a detailed overview of this mission. Google, as we had already explained in our earlier posts, is known for celebrating important events and personalities in its own peculiar way by changing its doodle on the Google.com homepage to represent that particular day or event in such a way that it truly reflects and confirms to the occasion. Today, Google has changed its logo globally, with a space-inspired doodle, to mark the discovery of water on Moon which, is an essential for life to go on.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA in Jun 09, launched a lunar satellite into orbit, which was to fire a rocket booster at 5,600 MPH velocity into a Moon crater near the Southern Pole of the moon, to cause a six-mile-high explosion with the hope to find water on the Moon. NASA scientists were eager to see LCROSS (Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite) launching a Centaur rocket into the moon to cause a big blast in the crater. The massive explosion kick up 350 metric tons of debris, letting the trailing satellite cameras analyze the mess for signs of water. Scientists scouring the surface of Earth's satellite to search for a precious resource called “Water”. The satellite due some reasons could not be scheduled to reach the moon until October 8.
It’s been only a week since Motorola launched its top of the line Droid phone on Verizon in United States. This new generation of CDMA mobile has quickly gained a higher popularity graph, and was well received against the HTC Droid Eris also launched on the same day. Simultaneous launch of the two Droid phones by Verizon on same day wasn’t really a coincidence, but done intentionally to attract different type of audiences.
Folks over at XDA-Developers community has managed to extract and run Google Maps Navigation app on HTC T-Mobile G1. Google Maps with Navigation is exclusive to Motorola Droid phone on Verizon, which is powered by the latest Android 2.0 platform. Google Maps Navigation is a fully dedicated turn-by-turn GPS application, which is an integral part of Google Maps app on Verizon’s Droid phone. The app is completely aware of Live traffic feed, and is powered by plain English voice commands.

It has only been a week since the launch of the highly advertised DROID phones on Verizon – the Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Eris. Interestingly Verizon decided to launch both the handsets on the same day to attract different type of audiences. While it may have attracted some, it also generated a confusion as to which device was better than the other. Both the devices are equipped with all the hardware features that one would expect from them. This includes, a high resolution capacitive multi-touch screen, 5 mega-pixel camera and so on. Below is a quick rundown showing how the two Droid phones stand against each other.
It was only yesterday when we reported the long awaited update to install0us (version 2.5) and now it seems like the developer of the app has already pushed a new update, version 2.5.1 via Cydia. The only thing new in this update is that it removes the expiry date that the developer forgot to remove from version 2.5. Version 2.5 of the app will be expired in 4 days from now. You must upgrade to version 2.5.1 in order to continue using this app. Here are the official words from the developer himself.
November has proved tough for jailbroken iPhone users as they twice came under attack by hackers. First one which we did warned you about was when a Dutch hacker tried to access jailbroken iPhones through SSH in his native country Netherlands. He was successful in sending totally off guarded users a message that read, "Your iPhone's been hacked because it's really insecure! Please visit doiop.com/iHacked and secure your iPhone right now! Right now, I can access all your files.". The second development was an attempt by an Australian who successfully injected a worm called “ikee” into jailbroken iPhones whose users forgot to change their root password for SSH. Victims of ikee virus were astonished to find their home screen background automatically changed to that of Rick Astley. ikee virus spread like a chain reaction from iPhones on one cellular network, to iPhones on other.
