Twelve South’s AirFly Pro Wireless Headphone Dongle Offers Aux In Support, Dual Connection

Twelve South has announced the new AirFly Pro accessory, and it’s now available to buy at Apple Stores both in person and online.

As the name might suggest, the AirFly Pro is similar to the normal AirFly that came before it. That means you can plug it into a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and then use it to connect Bluetooth headphones. That way you can listen to audio sources that don’t have Bluetooth support with your Bluetooth headphones.

The most obvious uses for such a product include at the gym, on an airplane, or with the Nintendo Switch. But what makes AirFly Pro so interesting is the fact that it can also act in reverse, too.

That means you can plug this thing into the 3.5mm AUX port on any audio receiving equipment and then send audio to it via Bluetooth. If you want to be able to play Apple Music but your speaker doesn’t support Bluetooth, for example, this could be a great option for you.

The AirFly Pro has a built-in battery that should last more than 16 hours between charges and there’s a USB-C port for those times where it needs additional juice. The AirFly Pro dongle is yours for $54.95 and it can be bought from apple.com or an Apple Store near you.

This might not be something everyone will get use out of. But if you can, it’s a great option to have.
