Tesla Updates Its iPhone App To Include Actionable Notifications And More

Tesla has updated its iPhone app to add support for actionable notifications, allowing people to interact with their car when they receive a notification and without first opening the app.

The new update, which is available for download from the App Store now, also includes additional improvements including charging stats that show your estimated energy costs while charging your car.

In terms of actionable alerts, people will now be able to turn climate control off when their app alerts them that a desired temperature has been reached, and more.

The full Tesla release notes from version 4.6.0 read:

  • Charge Stats displays your vehicle energy charged and estimated costs
  • Submit comprehensive claims for Tesla Insurance policyholders
  • Support for actionable vehicle push notifications

The same app update appears to have the groundwork for an annual Full Self-Driving subscription, giving people the ability to switch between monthly and annual options.

Paying annually will save some money, too. The same update seems to be setting things up to allow people to browse the Tesla store within the app as well.

The updated Tesla app is now available for download from the App Store and you should probably download it soon if you want to take advantage of these latest feature additions.
