This is now turning into a norm isn’t it? Every time a new iPhone is launched, there are designers who come up with unique designs to decorate these gadgets in their own ways and styles. With the launch of iPhone 4, this tendency has increased manifold. Last year, we saw a 3.2 Million dollars iPhone 3GS Supreme. This year with the arrival of iPhone 4, we saw a Swiss registered company Gresso, offering iPhone 4 with a unique wooden back panel. This back panel was made of 200-year-old African Blackwood and the Apple logo on the back was made with 18 karat Gold. And then finally came the iPhone 4 Diamond Edition. But to get this uniqueness and style, you had to shell out lots of money, from $3,500 to somewhere around $20,000 for the Diamond Edition which is certainly not affordable by any ordinary individual isn’t it.

There is no question about Windows Vista being a PR failure for Microsoft. But so is iPhone 4 turning out to be one for Apple. Speaking at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference, the Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft Kevin Turner called iPhone 4 a Windows Vista of Apple. “It looks like the iPhone 4 might be their Vista, and I’m okay with that.”, said Turner in his keynote address on Windows Phone 7 at Microsoft WPC. I have been using iPhone 4 for the last 5 days now and no matter what I do, I am unable to replicate the iPhone 4 antenna reception problem which everyone keeps talking about. I know the problem is there, because I have seen lots of YouTube videos which shows it all. Also, Apple has acknowledged the issue now and they are going to fix it via software update which is due in the next few weeks.

Despite all the problems, the new iPhone 4 has broken all the sales record for Apple. After selling 1.5 Million iPhone 4’s right on the first day of the release, this morning, Apple confirmed via press release that they have managed to sell over 1.7 Million iPhone 4’s in just three days of its launch. On this occasion, Apple CEO Steve Jobs called it the most successful Apple product ever.

This is getting ridiculous. I cant believe we are seeing this with Apple’s flagship product. If antenna or yellow spot screen discoloration issues were not enough, there are now reports of unhappy customers who have got new iPhone 4’s with flipped buttons for volume rocker. And moreover, if you press the “-“ button, it will result in increasing of the volume while pressing “+” will result in volume getting quieter.

You must have heard about the buzz going on about the yellow tint / spot on the Retina display of iPhone 4 screen. This could be present anywhere from top left corner of the screen, middle, to lower corners of the screen. This of course is not good, specially because the new Retina display has been hyped like crazy, both by Apple and Press.

There has been lots of talk on the reception issue of the newly released iPhone 4. Early iPhone 4 customers are not too happy with their purchase as the device is said to be dropping signals when you hold it in your hand. While there is still no official word or acknowledgement from Apple on the issue yet, it was earlier being suggested that this was an hardware issue and Apple might have to recall all these devices for a replacement.
