iOS 6 / 6.0.1 Jailbreak Untethered For iPhone 5 And Other New Devices Now Being Worked On By Both Pod2g And Planetbeing

Goncalo Ribeiro·January 19, 2013
Many of our readers would consider themselves technology enthusiasts, and as a result have considered purchasing, or have already purchased an iPhone 5, or have at least upgraded their existing handsets to iOS 6. Months after its release, many are rightly becoming impatient with the release of an untethered jailbreak for both iOS 6 or the iPhone 5. Well-known developers such as Planetbeing have been updating users, which we have covered extensively in the past, and today we have some more good news. A new tweet suggests that he is making some progress again, this time with famous iOS security researcher Pod2g.

Angry Birds Rio For iPhone And iPad Becomes Free App Of The Week, Get Downloading!

Aatif·January 18, 2013
Games are a strange genre. They’re insanely popular (just take a look at the best-selling or most popular titles across any App Store), and their dynamics are far from predictable. Sometimes, mindless, meaningless and dead simple titles would become overnight success stories, while other much well-developed and thought of titles would remain trailing in the abyss of non-recognition. Then, there are those cases too, where persistence and perseverance pays off. Rovio Entertainment’s Angry Birds lineup is one story that adheres to the latter category – a company on the brink of closure comes up with a title after countless attempts that becomes an insane hit with the masses, doing for Rovio what few titles have been ever able to achieve for their developers.

With iOS 6 out for a few months and iOS 6.1 right around the corner, many are already wondering where Apple might next take its mobile operating system. After a few releases with little user interface changes, it is plausible that Apple may be working on quite a lot of changes for its upcoming release, iOS 7.

Rolling Stone Magazine Finally Lands On iPad!

Paul Morris·January 17, 2013
After spending a couple of years sitting in the background and watching other publishers embrace Apple’s technologies; the decision-making executives behind The Rolling Stone magazine have finally deemed it the right time to bring the publication to the digital display of the iPad. Jan Wenner - the founder of Rolling Stone - has previously been critical of those who jumped immediately aboard the iPad ship when it was launched back in 2010, but it seems that opinions have changed with today's release of the extremely popular magazine onto the App Store.

This App For iPhone And iPad Lets You Take Photos In The Highest Quality Possible

Paul Morris·January 16, 2013
The number of photo and video based apps on the App Store is literally insane. The store contains a huge number of quality offerings that not only bring the ability to capture and edit photos and video but also share them with the world through vast networks of followers who have a deep passion for photography and video making. PureShot for iPhone and iPad makes a brave move by stepping away from the filter phenomenon and deciding to concentrate purely on digital photo capture with the intention being to do so with the highest technical quality possible.

How To Run Facebook Messenger On iPad In Native Resolution

Aatif·January 15, 2013
Facebook has been one of the fastest growing social networks that ever existed, even if Google+ claimed a higher growth rate (owing to the fact that every Gmail user was potentially a user of Google+, but that’s a separate debate). One of the reasons Facebook has been massively and addictively popular, apart from the feature set that it brought to the social networking table, was the fact that the company has some of the best iOS apps out there, offering a smooth and near-perfect experience on the go. Be it Facebook’s official app, the Camera app, the Pages app, or the Messenger app, you can expect high quality and polish from the Palo Alto company.

Clamcase Pro Transforms The iPad Into A MacBook [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·January 12, 2013
When the original Clamcase iPad accessory landed on the market, it managed to gain a lot of interest by being tagged as something of a game changer. Wrapping an external keyboard and a multi-position stand all-in-one iPad accessory was an extremely intelligent move by the makers, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype and pulled in some very negative reviews. After going back to the drawing board and attempting to right the wrongs, Clamcase is back with their Pro version of the case that is lighter, thinner and packs in even more punch for your $169.

iOS 6.1 GM / Final Beta Being Readied For Developers, Could Release Next Week

Ben Reid·January 12, 2013
Before any new iOS release makes its way to your treasured iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device, it goes through a series of dev-only betas, and although the current latest release is either 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 depending on the age of your device, the release of iOS 6.1 has been looming for months. Now, it would appear as though Apple at internal testing stage of a new iOS 6.1 beta, which looks as though it'll serve as the Golden Master build. The Golden Master, or GM build, presents the software in its complete, end-user state (barring any significant bugs), and suggests the public release of iOS 6.1 may not be too far away now.

Apps for the iPhone and iPad are launched onto the App Store every day of the week, but every now and then, one comes along that causes a spike in excitement for one reason or another. It could come from a big developer, it could be an innovative new way of interacting with an interface, or it could just be an extremely well marketed app that has drummed up a lot of pre-release interest. In the case of the newly release podDJ iPad app, the excitement and anticipating has been created purely because it is the first official App Store release from jailbreak legend Pod2G, oh yeah, and it's pretty fantastic for aspiring music mixers.
