HTC HD2 GPS Navigation and Digital Compass in Action

M Asad·November 9, 2009
With its large size 4.3-inches multi-touch screen, 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor and other amazing specs, HTC HD2, atleast in terms of hardware power has already bulldozed its contemporaries devices and is by now surely a big powerhouse in cellular world. We had tried to keep our readers updated during the entire course of its development phase through our various posts. Just to refresh your memory, HTC HD2 is powered by Microsoft’s newly released Windows Mobile 6.5 and is the first Windows phone to feature multi-touch support through HTC Sense (aka HTC TouchFLO 3D 2.5).

ultrasn0w 0.92 Carrier Logo Fix for Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware

Taimur Asad·November 9, 2009
The iPhone Dev-Team has finally released a proper working patch which fixes carrier name or logo on unlocked iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. If you jailbreaked your iPhone with PwnageTool 3.1.4 and then later unlocked it with ultrasn0w, then you must have noticed that the carrier name or logo on the top left side of the status bar was missing. This was caused due to a known bug in ultrasn0w and was purely cosmetic, which means that your phone continued to work even without the carrier logo in place. We earlier wrote about a fix for this bug but it was more of a workaround than a proper fix. But today, Dev-Team has released ultrasn0w 0.92 which fixes this issue. Follow the steps below to upgrade your phone to the latest version of ultrasn0w.

Protect iPhone 3GS Against ikee Virus Attack

M Asad·November 8, 2009
In continuation from our last post, here is yet another development which took place in the last few days when some jailbroken iPhone users found their home screen background a little different than it was last seen by them. If your jailbroken iPhone has changed its background automatically to that of Rick Astley (some 80's singer) with the words "ikee is never going to give you up", then you are most likely a victim of ikee virus which infects iPhone’s via SSH. The virus in question has originated from Australia by a hacker named Ikee and it is now quickly spreading to other parts of the world. If you have been affected, luckily there is no harm done as this virus was more of an experiment than anything else.

Top Video Editing Apps for iPhone 3GS

M Asad·November 7, 2009
iPhone 3.0 brought video editing on-the-go to iPhone 3GS so that you don't have to wait until you’re at your computer to start editing your mobile movies. The introduction of video capture no doubt was an excellent and nice feature that Apple brought to iPhone users, but they felt limited for a while with what they could do after shooting. Many advance features like combining multiple video clips, text watermarking, transition effects and so on are missing from the built-in video editing feature in iPhone OS 3.1.x for iPhone 3GS. The following apps will make your iPhone 3GS a complete video-editing studio right in your pocket.
