Battery life comparison between iPhone SE vs iPhone 6s vs Galaxy S7. A series of lab stress tests has confirmed that Apple's new iPhone SE packs some impressive battery life improvements. Initial tests have shown that Apple's $399 iPhone model outlasts the existing flagship iPhone 6s by more than two hours. Those improvements are impressive enough, but the tests also shows that the new iPhone "Special Edition" is capable of outlasting Samsung's latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7, by nearly three hours. Those numbers alone are enough to make the iPhone SE stand out above the rest for the purely battery conscious individuals.

Google has been working internally for a number of months to create a third-party iOS keyboard that would be offered to iPhone and iPad users, according to a report published today. The keyboard, which would make use of the third-party keyboard frameworks within Apple's iOS SDK, will be offered as a download from the App Store - presumably for free - and will incorporate features and functionality that Google is hoping will give it a more prominent placing within Apple's ecosystem by offering a keyboard experience that is central to almost every aspect of smartphone and tablet usage.
