OnePlus 7T Announced: Specs, Price, Release Date

After all the rumors, it’s finally here, with the OnePlus 7T all official. We now know everything that there is to know about the phone including pricing, availability, and specifications.

Starting with price and availability, the phone will go on sale on October 18th and cost $599. That launch date is surprisingly far away, but it does give you a little more time to fully succumb to the hype machine before placing your order.

Specifications-wise, things are pretty much what we expected. There’s a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a built-in fingerprint reader. OnePlus is calling this iteration the “Fluid” display, which really just means that it has a 90Hz refresh rate.

The processor is a Snapdragon 855 Plus and it’s mated to 8GB of RAM. Storage is the super fast UFS 3.0 solution that is becoming popular and capacity options are either 128GB or 256GB. There’s no microSD card to increase that, so make sure you buy the one you need right out of the gate.

Moving on, we have the same rear cameras as the OnePlus 7 Pro – an f/1.6 48MP primary (IMX586), f/2.2 12MP telephoto, f/2.2 16MP wide-angle. The only difference is the telephoto only has a 2x zoom rather than 3x. You do gain a new macro mode, however.

Rounding things out, we have stereo speakers, a new Zen Mode to help you ditch your phone habit, and Android 10 right out of the box. Whether any of this is enough to make you spend more than is required to pick up a Pixel 3a is up to you, and with the Pixel 4 line around the corner, now might not be the time to buy anything in the Android space.
