Latest 16-Inch MacBook Pro Concept Renders Show 6 USB-C Ports, Sleek Profile, More

There have been ongoing rumors of a new 16-inch MacBook Pro for months, but despite there being talk of an announcement this month, we’re rapidly running out of days. That doesn’t mean that the product isn’t going to arrive at some point, though. And a new concept shows us what it might look like.

These renders show a design that is similar to the existing 15-inch MacBook Pro that a ton of people are using.

That’s because the rumors have the 16-inch display of the new model fitting into the same size body as the 15-inch that is currently on offer. Smaller bezels are expected to make way for more screen, according to rumors.

The renders also show a more curved product with three USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports on each side. The prospect of there being a total of six ports in total is an interesting one. But it isn’t one we expect to ring true, either.

Beyond the display the think most people are looking forward to with this new machine is the improved keyboard. Apple is expected to ditch the scissor keys that have caused so many problems in recent years, instead moving to butterfly mechanisms. If you’re the owner of a previous MacBook Pro and have had keyboard problems this might be an upgrade that makes plenty of sense.

Whether this concept looks anything like what will eventually ship, we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully we won’t be waiting too long to have all our questions answered.
