Jailbreak iOS 15.3.1 On iPhone And iPad [Status Update]

Looking to jailbreak iOS 15.3.1 on your iPhone or iPad? Here’s the latest status update on what you need to know regarding iOS 15.3.1 jailbreak.

Apple’s latest software update is all about security and accessibility fixes which means it’s one that people should probably install as soon as possible. But as is always the case with these things there will be one question on a lot of lips – can this release be jailbroken?

As has been the case for some time now, the answer will depend on what device you are using. That of course means that you’re good to go if you’re using an iPhone X or older and that isn’t going to change.

That’s the case because the checkra1n jailbreak is bootrom-based, meaning it can’t be patched in software. That, in turn, means that no iOS update is going to prevent an iPhone X or older from being jailbroken. Those with an iPhone X or older will be able to jailbreak effectively forever.

If you’re using something newer than an iPhone X, however, you’re going to be out of luck. That seems like a situation that is unlikely to change anytime soon as well, which is a big shame for people who want the latest devices but also like to jailbreak them.

There is of course the chance that you could see that change in the future, but we can’t promise that and you might just have to live without those tweaks for now. Hopefully things change in the future.
