It’s Official: Apple Announces Its First 2021 Event Dubbed ‘Spring Loaded’

As has been rumored all day, Apple has now confirmed that it will be holding a special event, online, on April 20. Apple is calling this the “Spring Loaded” event and has sent invitations out to members of the press.

The event will be streamed online and will lick off at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

Like past events, Apple will stream this one on its website and via YouTube, with the full event available for those who can’t join in live. Those with an Apple TV will also be able to watch on the big screen via the TV app, too.

While Apple hasn’t confirmed what it will be announcing during the event, the smart money right now is on at least one new iPad Pro. Rumors of a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED screen are rampant right now. We also suspect there could be a debut for the new AirPods as well, given the recent leaks surrounding Apple’s popular earbuds.

While there has also been talk of new Apple silicon Macs being announced, we’re less convinced that will come to fruition.

As for AirTags, we wouldn’t dare hope that long running saga will come to an end next week. All we do know is that next Tuesday is going to be a big one and we can’t wait to see what the company has in store for us!
