iPhone SE 3 Rumored To Look Like An iPhone XR With Touch ID

Apple’s iPhone SE is due a refresh and according to a new report it will get one eventually, but it won’t look like any iPhone SE we’ve seen before. For starters, it’s going to look like an iPhone XR but without the notch for Face ID.

That’s according to a report by Chinese site MyDrivers, with the outfit saying that the iPhone SE will gain Touch ID built into the Side button. That means no Home button, giving us our first all-screen iPhone without a notch or button. And it could be a looker!

The report notes that this will be Apple’s last LCD iPhone as well, with Apple’s other models having already made the switch to OLED.

According to the latest news, the iPhone SE 3 will be Apple’s last phone with LCD LCD display, and there are few opportunities for those friends who don’t love OLED.

The report goes on to say that we should expect an Apple A15 processor as well as 5G connectivity, moves that could suggest that the iPhone SE refresh won’t be replaced for some time. Apple often puts impressive CPUs into devices that it wants to remain relevant for as long as possible — see the current iPad mini as a prime example.

The report doesn’t go into detail about when the new iPhone SE will be released, however.
