iPhone 15 Pro Could Get 8GB Of RAM With iPhone 15 / Plus Getting 6GB

If everything goes according to the previous years, we can expect Apple to announce a range of new iPhones in or around September 2023.

That’s likely to be the iPhone 15 lineup, and expectations are already beginning to build ahead of time. Now, a new report believes that we can expect Apple to add a couple of key features and specs to specific models.

That report comes via the Trendforce which believes that Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will both benefit from more RAM than the standard models. That would mean that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would have 6GB of RAM, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will both have 8GB of RAM apiece.

The differentiation is expected to stretch to the chip that will be used. Following on from this year’s differentiation approach, it’s expected that next year’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a more speedy chip than the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus — expect A16 Bionic in the latter, and A17 Bionic in the former.

There’s more, too. Those who opt to buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max can reportedly look forward to getting their hands on a new camera, offering up to a 10x zoom thanks to the inclusion of a brand new periscope camera. For comparison, the best zoom level ever offered in an iPhone is a paltry 3x.

We’re also told that next year’s iPhones will continue to use Qualcomm 5G modems, with Apple’s own modems not expected to be available until next year.
