‘Good Morning America’ Gets Its Hands Onto An iPhone 12 Early

Apple’s public relations machine is now in full flow following the announcement of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, with the pair making an appearance on the “Good Morning America” show.

ABC News’ tech reporter,  Becky Worley, got to spend some time with the device and there was a short five-minute TV segment that gave us all a look at the new handset.

An iPhone 12 in Blue and iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue both appeared, while Apple VP of iPhone marketing, Kaiann Drance, was also quizzed about the companies decision to ditch the chargers from iPhone boxes.

“Well, there’s so much in the phones already. There’s a lot of amazing reasons, and we think it’s a good price for all that. But for the other reasons I mentioned, people often already have all that, and it’s sitting around in their house. Maybe they have multiple ones of that. So it was kind of the right thing to do in terms of the larger environmental goals and the larger benefits to the environment.”

Apple won’t be shipping EarPods with the iPhones for the first time, either.

iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 will be the first models going up for pre-order this coming Friday, October 16. Anyone wanting the iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max will need to wait for the pre-orders to begin on November 6.
