With the Hack In The Box Security Conference (HITBSecConf) behind us and the developer community looking forward to the announcements which Apple have to make at their Worldwide Developers Conference next week, it seems that the iPhone Dev Team have come to the conclusion that the time is right to give the jailbreak community a little pre-WWDC gift. Historically speaking, MuscleNerd and his compatriots are a team that just keep on giving, with this instance being no different, after taking to Twitter to announce that all of their software packages have been updated with the latest Rocky Racoon jailbreak 5.1.1 untether.
We have seen in the past that developers who push their packages to Cydia seem to go through trends relating to the parts of iOS that they enhance with their creations. We have seen this with Notification Center and Siri based tweaks, with the trend seem to be erring towards the iOS device lock screen in recent weeks, with developers launching tweaks such as Unfold, Unlockize and PaperLock.
The run up to any Apple hardware or software release just wouldn't be the same without the influx of rumors and insane speculation that gets thrown around the world wide web, often quoted as gospel. As you can imagine, with an initial look at iOS 6 set to come sometime during the worldwide Developers Conference and the sixth-generation iPhone expected later on this year, the conjecture train is stopping at every station with sources coming out of every corner to throw their opinions on board.
It doesn't seem to matter how experienced a user you may be with iTunes, there is always some part of it that just doesn't make sense. Although developers and engineers from the micro-blogging service Twitter will be present at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference this month, it looks as though it will be the social networking behemoth Facebook that will ultimately steal the conference’s limelight. After a long period of uncertainty, it seems as if the integration of Facebook into Apple's next major release of iOS will be made official at WWDC, reports TechCrunch.
With just less than two weeks to go until Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco, it seems that people are expecting Apple to announce more than just some information pertaining to iOS 6. It isn't unordinary for this time of year to bring an influx of leaked parts and components that are speculated to be part of the purported next-generation iPhone. I was recently given the pleasure of being flown to Amsterdam for "The Hack In The Box Security Conference". Whilst there I met up with the "Chronic Dev Team" and basically hung out with them for a few days.
As well as being one of the greatest innovators of all time, the late, great Steve Jobs was also a tremendous character. Whether at a keynote speech, in an interview, or addressing students at Stanford, Jobs was interesting to listen to, and his enthusiasm and unique oratory quirks are sorely missed by tech fans across the globe.
