Ben Reid·May 7, 2014
Being the huge tech fans that we are, we're more than just a little excited about the OnePlus One smartphone. Combining the tried-and-tested formula of high-end specs and low price, the CM-running device is sure to be a hit when it makes it to market. Speaking of market, Oppo's spin-off company decided to promote its handset using the fairly common tactic of encouraging would-be early adopters to film themselves smashing up their iPhones. Some refused, while others played ball, and the winners, as you'll see in the clip below, went above and beyond the call of duty.

Apple Planning To Hold ‘Enormous’ iPhone Upgrade Event This Week

Paul Morris·May 6, 2014
As we draw closer to the eventual unveiling of the next-generation iPhone, it appears that Apple isn't quite done yet with its currently available hardware. With WWDC 2014 just around the corner, it's widely accepted that Apple will make some interesting and extremely important announcements regarding iOS 8 and the progress that has been made on its first wearable device. However, Tim Cook and his team is remaining cautiously tight lipped about the next iPhone, which could have something to do with the fact that insiders are suggesting Apple is about to hold an ‘enormous’ iPhone upgrade event this week.

Apple Is Working On Full Fledged Health And Fitness Platform With iOS 8, iWatch

This feature is set to tie in closely with the company's inaugural smartwatch effort that we've also heard a great deal about, and as per a report from Reuters, the fruit company may be planning to build a dedicated, third-party-supported, App Store-like hub for fitness-related services.

iOS 7.0 – 7.1.1 Does Not Encrypt Email Attachments, Leaving Them Open For Everyone To See

Ben Reid·May 5, 2014
Apple prides itself upon its diligent efforts to maintain software that is secure. iOS is generally regarded as the most robust in defense against malicious intrusion and attack, but like any piece of software, it is far from perfect. From time to time, Apple's mobile OS makes the headlines for the wrong reasons, and unfortunately, a claim by the Cupertino that email attachments are encrypted is refutable thanks to a glaring bug that has been lingering in the software for months.

How To Add ‘Slide Up To Unlock’ Feature To iOS 7

Oliver Haslam·May 5, 2014
Ever since its introduction in 2007, Apple's iPhone has had one feature that has changed very little over the last seven years. The 'slide to unlock' method of unlocking the iPhone has been the subject of lawsuits as well as being copied or adapted by all manner of smartphone makers, but that doesn't mean that everyone thinks that it's the best way to go about getting past a lock screen. A cursory flick through the Cydia jailbreak store will prove just that.

The team here loves a good concept video. Some of the best concept videos of all time are the ones with the most outlandish features, and things that are just never going to become reality, at least not in the years to come. Whilst these type of concept videos are good fun - they tend to not pose much value as opposed to just entertainment. Occasionally it's the most simple, most realistic concept videos that make the biggest impact.

New 5.7-inch iPhone 6 Render With Ultra Thin Profile, Multiple Color Options [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·May 3, 2014
The iPhone 5s and 5c have managed to capture the attention and affection of millions of users since launch in the third quarter of last year. However, while both models are powerful devices in their own right, they both represent only slight evolutionary improvements over the previous iPhone 5. The iPhone 6 is Apple's chance to change things. To once again try and invigorate and pump some innovation into the smartphone industry. As expected, interest in the purported iPhone 6 is extremely high, with a number of designers putting together the obligatory concept designs of what we could be about to receive.
