When Apple announced the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus earlier this week, one of the marquee features announced for the new smartphones was 3D Touch. Essentially Force Touch but with three-level detection and an arguably more appropriate name, 3D Touch allows users of Apple's newest iPhones to press on their screens with varying amounts of pressure, enabling options and menus that a simple tap could not. Apple calls the different types of touches 'Peek' and 'Pop,' and has published videos showing examples of what 3D Touch can enable.

As expected, Apple has once again chosen to try and appeal to the widest audience possible by introducing the 6s range with the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch offerings that were brought to market with last year's iPhone 6. Additionally, following on from the precedent set last year, this latest generational iPhone release once again sees the two devices separated by rather marginal technical differences. The decision on which device to buy will really only come down to one major deciding factor; do you want to go as big as possible at 5.5-inches or keep it at 4.7-inches?
Live Photos is a nice little feature that's unique to Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus hardware. It's a differentiating addition that the Cupertino-based company hope will appeal to consumers who want something a little different. The feature itself essentially means that every photograph taken with the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus camera is a very brief video. To accomplish this the iPhone not only captures the image as it's displayed on the screen, but it also captures movement at the time and any associated sound that is within the environment.
One of the great things about the introduction of any new iPhone hardware, as well as the availability of a new major version of iOS, is the excitement that is inevitably injected into the jailbreak community. We've already see a demonstration video that shows off a functioning untethered iOS 9 jailbreak. Now, thanks to Greek developer Elias Limneos, jailbreak fans have a 3D Touch inspired tweak to look forward to in the near future.
