Call of Duty: Mobile Hits 100 Million Downloads On iOS In First Week Breaking PUBG’s Record

It turns out that a Call of Duty game designed specially for mobile is something people wanted. Who knew? Well, we do now after Sensor Tower released numbers saying Call of Duty: Mobile has been downloaded more than 100,000,000 times so far. That’s a lot of zeroes.

That number, achieved after just a week, means that the title achieved the “best launch of any mobile game ever” which is quite the thing to be able to plaster all over your website. Just a few days back, we had a report from the same source putting the downloads at over 20 million in just three days!

For comparison, Fortnite managed a relatively minuscule 22.5 million downloads. PUBG? 28 million across both Android and iOS.

Speaking of Android, the report even manages to break down location and platform data. According to that report almost 56 million of the downloads came from iOS devices with just over 45 million from those running Android. United States was predictably the biggest download area, too.

Activision’s shooter was most popular in the United States, where it was downloaded nearly 17.3 million times, or 16.9% of the total count. India followed with 13.7 million downloads, or 13.4%, with Brazil in third with 7.1 million downloads, or 7%.

When it comes to revenue, the United States was again in top spot – Japan and Brazil oddly rounded out the top three. Spending also came predominantly from iOS users, with gamers spending $9.1 million in the game. Android users spent a little less at $8.3 million although that makes sense given the fewer downloads.

It’s fair to say that Call of Duty: Mobile has been a success. Not that it was ever in doubt.
