It was only last month when we informed you about an emulation software named Haret which enabled Windows phones to run Android OS side by side with Windows Mobile 6.x. The initial release was not stable enough with lots bugs and broken functionality. But now, folks over at XDA forums have released a more stable version of Android OS for HTC Touch HD – which was one of the most popular Windows Mobile based device before HD2 dropped in.

Microsoft has released a new version of Windows Live for Windows phones running Windows Mobile Professional and Standard operating systems. This new version 10.7.0061.0500.2000 brings lots of new changes which includes new and improved UI which is finger friendly, Bing search bar, complete integration of Windows Live Home and lots more. I have installed it on my HTC HD2 and so far the experience has been quite satisfying.
A new Build 14.0.4730.1007 of Office 2010 has been leaked by WZOR, a site infamously known for many leaked builds of Windows 7 during its testing stages. While the stuff which is new to this build is not known yet, but a new EULAID:O14_RTM_VL.1_RTM_EN, shown in “Microsoft Software License Terms” indicates that Office 2010 may probably have internally entered RTM branch.

We informed you about the Google Nexus One when it was rooted even before the official launch. And now with just under a week of release, Nexus One has been hacked already to enable both wireless and wired (via usb) tethering option in Android 2.1. Folks over at the XDA forums have released some add-ons, which needs to be flashed over the top of the existing Android 2.1 firmware to get it to work.
According to the latest report from Apple Insider, the Cupertino based company has ordered large amount of LED camera flash components for 2010 calendar year. The same source has also learned that Philips LEXEON LED flash technology may have already got the contract for what looks like to being featured on the next-generation iPhone 4G, when it is released in summer of this year.
Just like the Motorola Droid on Verizon, US version of Nexus One which was launched by Google earlier this week didn't ship with multitouch capabilities in web browser or any of the apps even though the hardware and Android 2.1 OS was fully capable of it. As reported previously, Steve Ballmer in his keynote today at CES 2010 announced the HP Slate PC which is said to go retail later this year. What is interesting about this Slate PC is that instead of running a stripped down or a customized version of Windows or Windows Mobile, it will be running full fledged version of Windows 7 (Starter most probably).
