Oliver Haslam has written about technology for over a decade. His work has been published in print at Macworld and online pretty much everywhere else. If it plugs in or has a battery, it's fair game.
Apple isn't usually the kind of manufacturer that sees its latest and greatest wares receive discounts at retail, with even the smallest of price drop rarely associated with something branded with an Apple logo. When Best Buy reduced both the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 as part of its recent Black Friday sale, it was already going against the tide and, we suspect, Apple's wishes.
In the modern world, we all seem to be constantly working in various different currencies, whether that be the U.S. Dollar, British Pound or the Euro, not to mention the countless other currencies that make the world go round. Since Apple introduced the first MacBook Air and then the subsequent, much improved models, other laptop makers have been trying to replicate the formula that has seen the Air do so well. Some, usually via straight cloning of the design language, have been more successful than others. The ones that have really managed to produce something truly impressive are those that have taken the design of the Air and pushed further.
Motorola is running a Cyber Monday 2014 deal on its flagship smartphone of this year, the Moto X second-generation. Moto X is widely regarded as one of the best smartphones around, and while it was great at full price, it's about to become even better.
Want to enable hidden settings in iOS 8? Being able to play around with the tools and toys that Apple uses when testing iOS devices is often the kind of thing that we can only wish for, but with iOS 8 it has become clear that the iPhone and iPad maker has failed to hide its advanced settings and options as well as it usually does.
