Apple’s iPad And Mac Help It To Top Spot On Customer Satisfaction List

Apple once again finds itself at the top of the American Customer Satisfaction Index for 2020, following its place at the summit in 2019, too.

The index has Apple in number one spot based on how satisfied customers are with their personal computers, with Macs and iPads making up that category. Samsung sits in second spot, followed by Acer, Amazon, and Asus rounding out the top five places.

While Apple continues to be the best firm for anyone looking for a top-notch customer experience, Samsung appears to be popular based on its value.

Both Apple and Samsung have shown high and stable customer satisfaction for the past five years—separated by just a point in all but one of those years. Apple continues to beat the field across the entire customer experience, receiving its highest mark for design. Samsung shines when it comes to value, rating best in class among all PC makers.

Apple’s score for 2020 is actually a single percentage point lower than 2019, something Apple might want to be wary of. Samsung posted the same result as last year, while Acer was able to gain in 2020.

Apple has long prided itself in a healthy customer satisfaction rating with CEO Tim Cook often citing the company’s own numbers during media events.

Apple’s numbers are as a whole, while the ones compiled by the American Customer Satisfaction Index are solely for Macs and iPads.
