Amazon’s Fire TV Stick 4K Max Gains Improved Performance And Wi-Fi 6 At $55

Amazon has today announced the new Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and while the name might be horrific, the stick itself could be pretty good.

Priced at a competitive $54.99, the product brings 4K streaming and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity to TVs via an HDMI port.

Alongside the improved Wi-Fi connectivity, the new stick also promises more power — around 40% more powerful than a Fire TV Stick 4K, we’re told. That’s made possible a new quad-core 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM.

Amazon says this is its most powerful Fire TV Stick ever.

Dive into 4K Ultra HD cinematic entertainment with a new quad-core 1.8 GHz processor that brings a 40% more powerful experience compared to Fire TV Stick 4K, plus faster app starts and more fluid navigation while switching between apps and searching for content. Enjoy vivid, lifelike colors with support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, HDR10+, and the immersive audio of Dolby Atmos.

The new Fire TV Stick 4K is available for order now and is priced at $54.99 which is a bit of a steal considering the technology inside. The new stick also comes with a new Amazon Alexa Voice Remote, complete with branded shortcuts for various streaming services.

This might be a good stick for existing Fire TV stick owners to upgrade from, but it’s definitely the one that new buyers should opt for if they want the best Fire TV Stick on offer.
