Apple is celebrating holiday season with its annual 12 Days of Christmas event in which they will be giving away loads of great apps, songs, movies, music and TV shows. Details after the jump!
Since I first heard about the new QR code technology a few years ago, I’ve noticed them everywhere. I’ve seen them on decals, magazines, product packaging and restaurant coasters. The technology is very popular worldwide, allowing anyone to advertise anywhere with a simple box type code; they link to whatever site they wish.
With the curtains closing on the stress-inducing pre-Christmas rush, shoppers are desperately panic-buying those last minute gifts, and as we know, tech products from smartphones to games consoles are seldom absent from wish lists.
You read the title, and you think we are going mad. It only seems like yesterday that we were hooking up the Commodore Amiga looking forward to playing a game of Cannon Fodder, or enjoying the fun and frolics that the little blue hedgehog Sonic brought to us via the Sega Megadrive.
I remember back in October when Apple announced the release details for the iPhone 4S and iOS 5. There had been so much speculation about iOS 5, and as a developer I had been using the development build for quite some time before the official release so I pretty much knew what to expect. However, as a person who generally gets each new device as soon as it is launched I was on the edge on my office chair when the section about the 4S began.
Another day, another jailbreak related tweet sends the world into chaotic meltdown. I have to be honest, I am finding it difficult to keep up with who is working on what, and who is working in collaboration with who.
One of the most notable new additions to iOS 5 was the inclusion of Notification Center. One central place on iOS powered devices which allows you to always know what's up and what went down by displaying emails, texts, calendar events, app notifications, breaking news, latest scores and whatever else may tickle your fancy. With one powerful swipe of your finger, you can be the master of your notification universe by displaying the new Notification Center.
Rockstar Games are obviously feeling festive and want to share that warm, happy feeling with all of us. What better way to share the holiday spirit than by slashing prices of your mobile games by a minimum of 33%.
I take my white iPhone 4 everywhere I go. Usually when it’s within sight of someone I am always asked if it’s the new model: “Is that the 4G or the new 4GS?”, “No,” I reply, “It’s the 4; and the new one is called a 4S.” Smile.
Blog posts have been flying around the internet for the last few days since the release of Redsn0w 0.9.9b9 which included a footnote advising users the newest iteration of the Ultrasn0w unlock (version 1.2.5) would be released this coming Monday via the official repository in Cydia.
