China Unicom, which happens to be the only official and authorized carrier in the world’s largest cellphone market (China) for iPhones and iPads is going to provide full service to its customers, which includes jailbreaking, converting SIM Card to Micro-SIM, installation of 10 of the most popular apps from Cydia, and a free case on every new purchase of iPhone 4 and iPad 3G. This was spotted by a Chinese citizen on a large advertising banners outside some of the China Unicom’s stores, as can be seen in the images below.

It was indeed very sweet and thoughtful of Stefan Magdalinski, a guy from South Africa to come up with this great idea of wrapping an iPad in a chocolate bar, on the eve of his beloved wife’s birthday. The guy in fact shot two birds with one stone. His wife is not only a chocolate lover, but also a great Apple fan too! And so he not only gave her that big 1.5 lbs chocolate bar which she loves to eat, but also Apple iPad all the way from London (iPad is not available in South Africa yet) which she always wanted.

Apple doesn’t like to kid around when they’re talking about numbers. In a press release today, Apple has revealed that they have sold 1,000,000 units in the first month of it’s launch. Wow! There is some great work being done in the jailbreaking community for the newly released iPad 3G. The infamous iPhone Dev Team has managed to send SMS text messages from iPad 3G using command line terminal. Even though it is early in development (no GUI), it still gets to show one of the many possibilities that you can get using a jailbroken iDevice.

iPad 3G has been successfully jailbroken only within a few hours of its launch. MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team has just posted couple of pictures and a video, showing a jailbroken iPad running Cydia. The upcoming Spirit userland jailbreaking software is the tool which is said to have been used to achieve this.
