Respawn May Be Working On Another Single-Player Star Wars Game

Respawn Entertainment has had a stellar year. After making waves in the battle royale genre with the release of Apex Legends in February, the EA-owned studio went on to farm praise for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

The first single-player Star Wars game in years, Fallen Order is being seen by many as a new standard for the franchise going forward. That reception may have greenlit another single-player game set in the Star Wars universe, perhaps a sequel to Fallen Order, or so new job postings on the EA website would suggest.

Respawn has three new openings posted on the EA website – Level Designer , Senior Software Engineer, and Senior Character Artist – all for its “Star Wars Team.”

While that in itself doesn’t make evident the nature of the game being developed, the description of the Senior Software Engineer opening reveals the studio is looking to develop “create an incredible Star Wars experience.”

“We’re picturing someone who is passionate about the Star Wars Universe and is invigorated by the idea of coding third person action/adventure games,” reads the job posting.

Of course, there’s no telling whether this new action/adventure title will be a sequel to Fallen Order, though it’s likely it’ll be similar in design. Respawn impressed critics and players alike with its maiden Star Wars epic. The studio will be looking to replicate that success.
