Photos Appear Of Unannounced Beats Studio Buds Worn By LeBron James

We’ve been hearing for a couple of weeks now that Apple and Beats plan to announce new Beats Studio Buds to the public at some point relatively soon. We also saw them go through the FCC this week, too. Now, basketball megastar LeBron James has appeared on Instagram actually wearing a pair of the new earbuds.

First reported by 9to5Mac, the earbuds photos appear on the @kingjames Instagram account along with some typically Instagram-y inspirational text.

No specific mention of the new earbuds was made, however. It does appear that these are the unannounced Beats Studio Buds, though.

From the distance the pictures were taken, it is hard to see the earbuds in detail, but they seem to have the Beats branding in the same place as shown by the images revealed by 9to5Mac. While the first images of the Beats Studio Buds that we found show a black model, the system files also indicate that there will be a red and white version — which looks like the one James is wearing.

It isn’t clear whether this is some sort of strange tease or if James simply wore these things in public before he was supposed to. Regardless, it’s good publicity for earbuds that will be very similar to Apple’s own AirPods offering.

Now we just need Apple to announce them. With WWDC less than two weeks away we might not be waiting too much longer.
