The infamous iPhone DevTeam is now back with a newer version of redsn0w which brings support for IPCC tethering hack for iPhone 3G and 3GS only. This IPCC tethering hack enables you to install carrier bundles that aren't officially signed by Apple on the latest iPhone 3.1.2 firmware. With this, you can connect your iPhone (3G and 3GS only) with your PC or a Mac in a way which enables your PC/Mac to connect to Internet via 3G network on your iPhone.
Apple has just announced the availability of iTunes 9.0.3 for both Windows and Mac. This looks more like a stability and bug fix release which addresses issues like “problems when syncing some Smart Playlists and Podcasts with iPod” and various other bug fixes.
Folks over at Slide-to-Play have published 7 different videos, showing hands-on experience with existing iPhone games running on the newly announced iPad. The birth of iPad on January 27 has created waves all over the tech. world. In a sudden and surprise move, noticed Friday evening by many bloggers, books from Macmillan, one of the largest publishers in the United States, have been removed from Amazon.com. The disappearance came in the wake of a dispute between Amazon.com and different book publishers that have been brewing between them for the last year or so. Macmillan, like other publishers, demanded Amazon to raise the price of electronic books from $9.99 to $15. Amazon expressed its strong disagreement reacted by temporarily removing Macmillan books. If this doesn't signal the upcoming eBooks/price war between Apple and Amazon? then I wonder what will.
Last month, we informed you about an emulation software named Haret which enabled Windows phones to run Android OS side by side with Windows Mobile 6.x. This solution required booting into Windows Mobile first, before you could run Android using Haret. But now, some folks at XDA-Developers have released a new software/tool named Gen.Y DualBOOT which enables Windows phone users to dual boot Windows Mobile and Android OS on the very same handset.
