iOS 14 Beta 6 Download Release Date: Here’s When To Expect Its Availability

Looking for iOS 14 beta 6 and iPadOS 14 beta 6 download release date for iPhone and iPad devices? Here’s when to expect it from Apple.

With Apple likely to release iOS 14 to the public at some point in September the company needs to get all of the bugs ironed out and features squared away in the next few weeks.

Part of that is getting updated beta releases into the hands of developers, with the next update set to be iOS 14 beta 6. But when will it arrive? We think we might know.

Based on Apple’s previous release cadence and the expectations we have for an official and public launch, we think Apple will have its sixth beta ready to go this week. Sure, Apple only released iOS 14 beta 5 last week and it usually runs on a two-week cycle, But bear with us – there’s a reason behind our madness.

As Apple edges closer to the public release of iOS updates, it starts to push new beta builds out weekly rather than every other week. We think we’re at that stage now, with iOS 14 beta 6 likely to arrive on August 25 (Tuesday) or 26 (Wednesday). That’s today or tomorrow, for those lacking in a handy calendar.

It’s of course still possible that Apple sticks to two-week cycle for beta 6 as well and releases it next Tuesday or Wednesday. So take all this with a grain of salt.

Apple’s last round of beta updates improved stability somewhat, but there are still problems to be ironed out. Hopefully that happens in the next beta releases – Apple doesn’t want to be scrambling to fix bugs as we work our way into September.
