Download: watchOS 7.6, tvOS 14.7, And HomePod 14.7 Software Updates Released

After a seemingly lengthy beta process, Apple has now made watchOS 7.6,  tvOS 14.7, and HomePod 14.7 software available to the public for download. This is despite the fact that watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 are already in the middle of their beta programs.

While tvOS 15 and watchOS 8 aren’t expected to be made available to the world until this September, Apple likely has a few more updates to get out the door before those releases are shipped.

The tvOS 14.7 update comes two months after tvOS 14.6 was released and is now available for download for both the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K devices, including the latest refresh of the latter.

Anyone wanting to update can do so via the Settings app on their Apple TV, although it might update on its own if you have automatic updates enabled.

In terms of watchOS 7.6, the new update can be installed via the Watch app on the iPhone. This update brings with it an addition that could quite literally save lives — the ECG app is now available in 30 additional regions and that’s something that shouldn’t be overlooked.

As for the HomePod 14.7 software, we know that Apple is now allowing timers to be managed directly from the Home app. What’s more? Stability and bugfixes for now.

Both of these updates are ones that we would suggest users install as soon as possible, especially if you happen to live in one of the regions that just picked up ECG app support and own an Apple Watch Series 4 or newer device.
