iOS 15 Beta 3 / Public Beta Download Expected Release Date

Here’s iOS 15 beta 3 and public beta download expected release date for iPhone and iPad users. Here are the details.

Are you looking for and waiting patiently for the iOS 15/iPadOS 15 beta 3 as well as the initial public beta release? You aren’t the only one. Here’s when to expect both of those things from Apple based on previous release history.

As is generally the case, Apple took the stage during this year’s virtual WWDC event to announce and introduce iOS 15 and iPadOS 15. That was at the start of June, which means that the initial developer previews have been in the hands of registered developers for a while now.

Those registered developers will not only be putting iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 through their paces but also testing their own apps and software for compatibility, fixing any bugs and niggles, and trying out new APIs and technologies that are going to be launched alongside Apple’s next-generation of mobile OS.

There is also a public beta to take into account, which will immediately expand Apple’s testing pool and will likely be available for the general public in early July is historical releases are anything to go by.

In situations such as these, we need to use Apple’s previous release history to try and make an educated assumption on when the initial public beta will drop. We need to take into consideration that the firmware needs to be in a good enough position for the general public to consume. With all of that in mind, we predict that iOS 15/iPadOS 15 developer beta 3, as well as the initial public beta release, will come on either Monday, July 5 or Tuesday, July 6.

We’re fairly confident in that production so make sure you add it to your diary as a tentative release date!

Once that milestone is out of the way, we then expect Apple to ramp up its release schedule and start pushing out fortnightly and then weekly releases ahead of an eventual September final public release for all compatible devices.
