Apple wasn’t kidding when they got Silicon Valley cops involved to investigate the lost iPhone HD/4G case. Last night, police entered Gizmodo’s editor-in-chief Jason Chen’s home (when he was away with wife) and held four computers and two servers in their custody and seized them. For those of you who don't know, Chen was the writer who wrote about the next Apple iPhone on Gizmodo.

I have just been tipped off on twitter about Limera1n.com – a domain which has been registered by the infamous iPhone hacker named George Hotz (aka geohot). The domain whois record for both blackra1n and limera1n shares same record and confirms that it has been registered by geohot on March 27. Whois record also reveals that it was last updated on April 13, almost effectively the same date when geohot successfully jailbroke iPhone OS 4 which makes it even more authentic. Though there is no confirmation about this by geohot himself.

Apple enthusiast site 9to5mac has managed to grab a screenshot from the latest version of iPhone OS 4, which shows a notification popping up in landscape view. While this is likely done in an error, there is still a remote possibility of Apple bringing such support to iPhone. After all, iPhone 3.2 for iPad supports landscape view, then why not on iPhone and iPod touch?
Earlier today, two prototype models of iPod touches were spotted on eBay which had cameras on the back with one of them shown running a development version of iPod OS, while the other one was running ‘switchboard’ window which could perform screen and camera test. They were marked as DVT-1 and DVT-2 which confirmed them as a development model. The recently “lost” iPhone 4G also had “DVT” written on its back.
