Apple To Introduce Apple TV SDK Next Month In A Dedicated Event, 4.8-inch iPhone 6 Coming In June 2014 [Update x1]

Goncalo Ribeiro·February 14, 2013
For the last year or so, many have been wondering when Apple would open up its set-top box, known as the Apple TV, to developers for third-party apps. At the same time, excitement about a major upgrade to the iPhone has already started. An analyst from Jeffries has answers from both of these questions based on “channel checks”.

Real Racing 3 For iOS Released Way Ahead Of Official Launch Date

Ben Reid·February 13, 2013
Yesterday, we learned that the highly anticipated car racing simulator Real Racing 3 would be arriving for iOS and Android at the end of the month. However, what we didn't know was that EA had plans to release it earlier for some than others, thus it comes as a great surprise to see the title pop up in the App Store of those in Australia and New Zealand.

Apple’s New Antenna Patent Could Pave The Way For An All-Aluminum iPhone

Ben Reid·February 13, 2013
Apple is renowned for meticulously, almost obsessively arranging each element of its vast product range, with every detail carefully placed in order to facilitate the sleekest of finishes. The iPhone 5 is a fine example of a well-designed smartphone, and with the introduction of a partial aluminum finish to the argument, many have lauded it as the most aesthetically-pleasing to date. But surely, a shell fully-enclosed in the light, robust material has to be seen as the ultimate dream, and a recent patent award to Apple concerning the antenna suggests such a dream could soon become reality.

Real Racing 3 Free-to-Play Title For iOS And Android Releasing On February 28th

Ben Reid·February 13, 2013
Electronic Arts has announced that the third release from its popular Real Racing series will be landing at the Google Play Store for Android, and the App Store for iOS, as of the 28th February. The iPhone 5 launch gave us a glimpse of things to come from Real Racing 3, but while the snippets appeared remnant of Gran Turismo, fans have had to wait quite a while for a solid release date. Now, the wait appears to be almost over, and by the end of the month - provided no unforeseen delays crop up - the mobile arena's favorite racer will be back for a third lap.

Pages+ For iPhone Lets You Customize Individual Home Screens On Your Device

Paul Morris·February 12, 2013
Thanks to the recently released Evasi0n untether package, the jailbreak community has become alive with activity. More importantly, the package submissions to the default repositories in Cydia have become more frequent and of a higher quality, meaning that we should see some innovation injected back into the world of jailbreaking. SBCoders, makers of the popular Deck and Aero packages are also back in the public eye with the release of their latest premium package, Pages+.

Evasi0n Jailbreak For iOS 6.1.1 (10B145) Will Be Out Soon

Ben Reid·February 12, 2013
Whenever a new jailbreak is released, Apple is usually pretty quickly off the mark in releasing a new update to plug the exploits which made said jailbreak possible in the first place. But this time around, it looks as though the 23MB update for the iPhone 4S does little more than it purports, in fixing a few lingering cellular issues.

iPhone 5 And iOS 6 Jailbreak Evasi0n Updated To Version 1.2, Cydia Package Also Updated

Paul Morris·February 9, 2013
If you jumped on-board the Evasi0n bandwagon to jailbreak iOS 6 / iPhone 5 last Monday, chances are high that you have been experiencing a number of small issues with how your iOS device performs. Thanks to the Evad3rs team – the people behind the Evasi0n untethered jailbreak – another update has just been pushed out to the Evasi0n untether package on Cydia and the jailbreak tool itself, ensuring that a lot of small bugs are ironed out for a smoother jailbreak experience for new users.

Jailbreak iOS 6.1.1 Untethered Using Redsn0w / Evasi0n [Tutorial]

Ben Reid·February 9, 2013
The ongoing cat-and-mouse battle between Apple and the jailbreak scene took a huge swing in favor of the latter on Monday, with the release of the Evasi0n jailbreak tool. Not only did it offer a solution for every iOS device on the market, the jailbreak was also untethered in nature, meaning once the jailbreak was applied, users could enjoy an uninterrupted experience. With the release of iOS 6.1.1 beta 1 for developers, it was presumed Apple had - as it tends to do with all jailbreaks - patched the hole allowing for the userland exploit and subsequent jailbreak, but in short, they haven't, though they will likely patch it in the next beta or at least before iOS 6.1.1 is public.
