iLoveHandles ‘Trunk’ Lightning Cable Doubles As Flexible Stand For iPhone 5

Ben Reid·May 23, 2013
Keeping our smartphones charged up for when we need them most is something we're always considering, subconsciously or otherwise. As such, the third-party accessory market makes an absolute killing in flogging docks, retractable cables, charging mats, juice packs, and other such products. Considering there are so many different types of charging accessories available, you might have thought the scope for innovation in this field was somewhat limited, but iLoveHandles' "Trunk" Lightning cable for the iPhone 5 proves this not to be the case.

This iOS 7 Safari Concept Adds More Functionality To Apple’s Native Browser [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·May 23, 2013
It's quickly becoming a case of another day, another iOS 7 concept, and aside from the supposed flatness, improvements to Maps and recently revealed integration with social hunts such as Vimeo and Flickr, precious little is known of Apple's forthcoming edition of its famed mobile operating system. All will of course be revealed at next month's WWDC 2013, but until the calendar finally crosses the line for June 10th, all we can do is hope, predict and anticipate.

iOS 7 To Further Social Integration With Flickr, Vimeo

Ben Reid·May 22, 2013
Apple plans to add even more social media integration to the forthcoming iOS 7 update. Both Flickr and Vimeo look set for Twitter and Facebook-like integration, which would see users able to tap in their credentials once within the Settings app and simply authorize any third-party movements from within the iOS infrastructure.

How To Force Open Mobile Safari On iPhone To A Blank Page

Ben Reid·May 21, 2013
Seldom, when launching the Safari mobile browser on an iOS device, do we wish to go back to the same page we were looking at several minutes / hours / days previously. Often, it's an annoyance to me that Safari launches on a Google search performed a day earlier to settle a minor dispute, and there's usually that couple of seconds' delay in loading the old page before I can get on with the new task at hand. As is so often the case with the thriving Cydia community, there's a tweak for that; it's called SafariBlankPage, and we've got all of the details coming up after the leap!

Ben Reid·May 21, 2013
Keen designers Ran Avni and Uygar Kaya have come up with yet another iPhone 6 concept which incorporates many of the features iPhone fans have long since been pining for, including wireless charging, LED notifications and of course, a larger, wider screen. It's easily one of the best concepts we've had the pleasure of ogling, and you can decide whether you agree by checking out the video after the break!

iPhone 5 Jailbreak Three Months On: It’s All About The Shiny

Oliver Haslam·May 19, 2013
If you read my reasoning for returning to the jailbreak scene with the iPhone 5 jailbreak release back in February, then you'll know that up until that point I really wasn't sold on the whole jailbreak scene. I'd dabbled in the past, with limited success, and always decided to return to Apple's way of thinking by ditching the jailbreak completely. I'd had battery problems, stability issues and a general feeling of disappointment when jailbreaking, but that all changed in February with the release of Evasi0n. Three months later, I can't see myself ever going back to stock.

This iOS 7 Concept Gives Users The Option To Toggle Flat Interface On Or Off [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·May 17, 2013
Much has been made of Apple's intentions to bring a flatter user interface to iOS with the forthcoming seventh version, but opinion remains divided on whether skeuomorphism is actually all that bad after all. The two-sidedness of the debate created factions within Apple itself, with ex-iOS SVP Scott Forstall seemingly all for the replication of realistic materials while others, like lead hardware designer Jony Ive, were less enthused by the look. Taking into consideration the polarizing effect, concept maker Ran Avni has taken an interesting approach by suggesting a system which would effectually allow users to flit between flat graphics and the rather familiar look of iOS hitherto. Check it out after the break!

New iPhone 5S Parts Leak In Super High Quality [IMAGES]

Ben Reid·May 17, 2013
One annoying fact of most early hardware leaks, is that those obtaining these rare artifacts seem eagle-eyed clued-up enough to discover them in the first place, but struggle to source a respectable camera to take a decent shot before distributing images to eager tech fiends across the Web. This can certainly be said of many of the so-called iPhone 5S's internal hardware parts leaks hitherto, but today, we have come across some high quality images of which are being touted as components of the next-generation Apple smartphone.
