Apple has officially confirmed the schedule for WWDC 2010. It is going to be held from 7th to 11th of June - just over a month from now. A lot of exciting things are on the horizon for this conference, including great opportunities for developers and hopefully the unveiling of the next iPhone, along with iPhone OS 4.
Well it now looks like Geohot is not going to release his jailbreaking bits for the iPhone and iPad anytime soon. According to some of his recent tweets, his tools are not ready for primetime use yet. What this probably means now is that he is not going to release blackra1n for untethered iPhone 3.1.3 jailbreak (as previously thought), iPhone OS 4 and iPad before the next-iPhone is out this summer.
Apple has just released iTunes 9.1.1 for both Windows and Mac. This is a minor release for stability and bug fixes which addresses issues like problems in “converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing”, “stability issues with VoiceOver ”, and various other bug fixes.
Great news for Facebook users who either own an iPhone, iPod and especially an iPad. Facebook has finally taken the big step, all the videos on Facebook are now in HTML5 format, therefore you can now view them directly on your beloved iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
Wi-Fi Sync is an upcoming app for the iPhone which lets you sync your iPhone or iPod touch (and possibly iPad too) with iTunes over a Wi-Fi network like Zune. The concept of the app is great! Check out the video after the break.
One of the most anticipated game title of the year has finally arrived on the iPhone and iPod touch. Gameloft’s Iron Man 2 brings the magic of the superhero film, based on the Marvel comics character named “Iron Man”. Here is a quick look at all the features that the game offers.
I have just been tipped off on twitter about Limera1n.com – a domain which has been registered by the infamous iPhone hacker named George Hotz (aka geohot). The domain whois record for both blackra1n and limera1n shares same record and confirms that it has been registered by geohot on March 27. Whois record also reveals that it was last updated on April 13, almost effectively the same date when geohot successfully jailbroke iPhone OS 4 which makes it even more authentic. Though there is no confirmation about this by geohot himself.
This is to inform you all that the software tool which promised to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3.1.3 untethered on 05.12.01 baseband for all the iDevices has finally been released. And as I previously envisaged, the tool has now been confirmed as fake. The reason why the file is size is so huge is because the executable file unnecessary packs large amount of random DLL files which does absolutely nothing.
Apple enthusiast site 9to5mac has managed to grab a screenshot from the latest version of iPhone OS 4, which shows a notification popping up in landscape view. While this is likely done in an error, there is still a remote possibility of Apple bringing such support to iPhone. After all, iPhone 3.2 for iPad supports landscape view, then why not on iPhone and iPod touch?
The law enforcement agencies in Silicon Valley have stepped in to investigate how the next Apple iPhone was lost, and subsequently landed into Gizmodo labs where it was reviewed and ripped apart for the world to see. This is what the Police had to say.
