Apple's products are sometimes said to sell themselves, but sometimes they need a little help along the way. Showing products in the right light can be half the battle during the early days of a product's life cycle, and that's where a good photographer comes in. After a bit of a rollercoaster ride last year with the constant developments in the Apple vs. Samsung cases, the fire looks to be reigniting just in time for the summer. Although the two tech titans are at loggerheads in several different cases being fought across the world, the main battle is being contested near Apple's home turf in San Jose, California, and in accusing Google of improperly withholding potentially incriminating information, the Cupertino-based company has requested that Judge Paul S. Grewal forces the Big G to hand over source code information pertaining its flagship mobile OS.
While it's pretty much a given that Apple will make some kind of announcement this year about the next-generation iPhone, it's still unknown exactly when that media conference will happen. There's strong speculation suggesting that the upcoming WWDC 2013 in San Francisco will be used once again as a software platform, effectively allowing Apple to introduce iOS 7. It seems unlikely that the Cupertino company will revert back to a June launch date for any new iPhone hardware, especially with the latest industry speculation suggesting that Sharp is set to ramp up their LCD panel production line to fulfill the required quota of iPhone 5S displays, beginning next month.

Apple is closing in on the monumental milestone of 50 billion app downloads through its celebrated iTunes App Store, and to mark the occasion, the Cupertino giant has compiled a list of the all time most-downloaded free apps, as well as the bestselling paid offerings. On top of that, the lucky downloader of the 50 billionth app will receive a whopping $10,000 in App Store credit, and even though most the guys here at Redmond Pie get through several app purchases on an almost daily basis, even we would struggle to use up all that glorious credit.
The Loop's Jim Dalrymple, famed for his "Yep" responses in corroboration of Apple rumors, has pulled off his trademark one-liner once more on the topic of the Cupertino company's iOS 7 shipping on schedule. Earlier today, it was revealed that Apple was having some difficulty readying the next major revision of its mobile operating system, and with sources of AllThingsD suggesting that Tim Cook's men are in an iPhone/Leopard situation (pulling developers away from OS X development to muck in with iPhone), Dalrymple's sources also seem to be singing a similar tune.
