The long revered WhatsApp Web Client has officially arrived for iPhone. The service which was launched late January this year, remained exclusive to almost every other smartphone platform out there, but Apple's mobile operating system. Thankfully though iPhone users will now be able to use WhatsApp directly from their favorite desktop Web browser.
It is very rare that a large company offering a popular application or service can work on a substantial upgrade to that product without some of the information leaking into the public domain prior to release. Unfortunately for Parallels that's exactly what happened last month, with the difference being that it was actually an internal leak that let the cat out of the bag. That said, the company's latest iteration of its virtual machine software, Parallels Desktop 11, is now officially available for Mac OS X users.
Apple is undeniably placing a lot of emphasis on the Apple Watch, and rightly so. Early indications suggest that the first iteration of the company's "most personal product yet" has made an immediate impact with consumers, something which can only get better with the public release of watchOS 2 in the coming weeks. Like its other products, such as the iPhone and iPad, Apple prefers to maintain a certain level of control over what is and isn't possible with its watch. Now, thanks to some internal tinkering by developer Hamza Sood, one of those Apple imposed limitations has been removed; that is the ability to add custom watch faces to the device.
Apple just released final version of iOS 8.4.1 download links for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. This release comes almost a month after iOS 8.4 was released with support for Apple Music in late June.
It's only been a matter of days since Apple issued OS X Yosemite's latest point release, version 10.10.5, which fixed a number of important security flaws but it looks as there is already additional woe for the Cupertino-based company to consider. On the back of that point release yet another vulnerability within OS X Yosemite has been discovered and made public, this time without actually informing Apple of the issue before allowing the currently unpatched issue to get into the public domain.
Apple's iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iOS 9 release date has been revealed by a new report. This report comes in from Germany where sources have learned Apple's plans to release its 2015 flagship phones on German carriers.
For the last couple of years, any and all iPhone launches have been marked with a myriad of leaks, most of which turn out to be true, thanks to the Cupertino company's super leaky supply chain. Back in March, it was rumored that Apple would go for a System-in-Package (SiP) architecture for the upcoming iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, similar to what it did for the Apple Watch. Now, a new leak of (allegedly) schematics has surfaced for the iPhone 6s which proves that the Cupertino-based company has opted for SiP in favor of the traditional Printed Circuit Board (PCB).
There hasn't been any official word yet from Apple, but all indications are suggesting that the likely unveiling of the next-generation iPhone will take place in less than a month. The two new devices, which are expected to be launched under the iPhone 6s banner, are supposedly all set for a mid-September launch, and are predicted to be a huge success for the Cupertino based company. While we wait for the actual final reveal, and to see if the device falls in line with all of the rumors that we've been hearing, designer Vuk Nemanja Zoraja has released a sleek concept vision of what he believes an official Apple smartphone could look like, but perhaps by next year.
Apple has announced its free 'App of the Week' for this week, with the game Time Surfer: Endless Arcade Magic going free for a limited time.
