Apple has increased the price of Apple Music subscriptions in the United States and several other countries, marking its first price hike for the streaming service in nearly four years. The new pricing takes effect immediately.
The Apple Music Individual plan now costs $11.99 per month, up from $10.99. The Family plan increases to $19.99, while the Student plan now costs $6.99 per month.

Apple has also raised prices for some Apple One bundles. The Family plan now costs $27.95 per month, up from $25.95, while the Premier plan increases to $39.95, up from $37.95. The Individual Apple One plan remains unchanged at $19.95 per month.
According to Apple, the increase is due to rising licensing costs for music. The company says the higher subscription prices will help support artists and rights holders while continuing to offer its streaming service.
The move follows similar price increases from Spotify earlier this year. Despite the latest changes, Apple Music still remains slightly cheaper than Spotify’s comparable plans in many regions.

Apple last raised Apple Music prices in October 2022, while other services such as Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple News+ have also seen price increases over the past few years.
Users will see the updated pricing reflected on new subscriptions immediately, while existing subscribers will be notified before the changes take effect on their billing cycle.
