Apple’s (PRODUCT)RED Proceeds Will Now Support Coronavirus Response Through September

Apple has announced that it is working with (RED) to push all eligible proceeds from the sale of (PRODUCT)RED products to The Global Fund’s COVID-19 Response Mechanism. That will remain the case through the end of September, according to the company.

Normally this money would go towards programs that are aimed at helping those suffering from HIV/AIDS in Africa.

But this new change comes at a time where the money is needed to enable the purchase of masks, lab equipment, and more.

Now through September 30, Apple is partnering with (RED) to redirect 100% of eligible proceeds from (PRODUCT)RED purchases to the Global Fund’s COVID‑19 Response. This will provide critical support in health systems most threatened by outbreak and, in turn, help preserve lifesaving HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.

Apple sells tons of products under the (PRODUCT)RED name, including the recently announced iPhone SE. You don’t need to spend big money, either, with watch bands and iPhone cases also available in that iconic red color. It helps that they all look stunning, too.

Unfortunately Apple doesn’t offer an iPhone 11 Pro in red – that would definitely be the color to go for if it did! It does offer a red iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max Leather Case, at least. You can find all of Apple’s (PRODUCT)RED products on the company’s website.
