Amazon has announced the best-selling technology items from 2019, with the company saying that billions of items were ordered across the globe.

As you might expect many of the best-selling products were those that have been popular in general throughout the year, including the Nintendo Switch which just seems to go from strength to strength.

“This holiday season has been better than ever thanks to our customers and employees all around the world,” Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder and CEO said. “On behalf of all Amazonians, we wish everyone the happiest of holidays and a fantastic 2020.”

As expected, the Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote, and even the Echo Show 5 has sold extremely well.

Pokemon Sword release for Nintendo Switch found itself as one of the most popular sellers of the year, while Samsung’s 128GB microSD card and  also sold well. We do find ourselves wondering how many of those two items were sold together, too.

Beyond gaming, the Wyze Cam Indoor Wireless Smart Home Camera also saw good numbers. Smart home trends continued with the iRobot Roomba 675 robotic vacuum, too.

Other popular items across Amazon’s stores were LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader’s Castle and LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle. The former just so happened to be an Amazon exclusive, too.

Amazon continues to offer many products at discounted prices as 2019 draws to a close so it’s possible there could be a dark horse yet to make its move in this collection.
