16.2 Final Expected Release Date?

Here’s iOS 16.2 final expected release date prediction for iPhone and iPad users.

Apple’s next big iOS update for iPhone will be iOS 16.2 and it will bring with it a few updates that people will benefit from, but when will they be able to download it? Thankfully, it’ll be pretty soon.

The iOS 16.2 update will bring with it support for the Freeform app, with updates coming for iPad and Mac that will add support for the same feature.

The Freeform app allows people to take notes collaboratively and is already available to those who have the iOS 16.2 beta installed.

Other tweaks coming as part of iOS 16.2 include the ability for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max owners to disable the Lock screen wallpaper when using the Always On Display feature. Lock screen medication and sleep widgets are also being added as part of this update.

Over on the iPad, Apple will also allow M1 and M2 iPad owners to use the Stage Manager multitasking feature when connected to an external display for the first time.

One change coming to the Home app will see the underlying architecture change, with Apple saying that users should expect better performance and stability as a result. Over in the Weather app, Apple has been testing putting relevant news articles alongside what the weather is up to.

As for when all of this will be released to the public, we expect it to happen soon. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has already suggested that a release in the middle of December is likely, with Apple wanting to get the update out the door before the end of the year.
