What To Expect From Apple’s September 7 Event

What can be expected from Apple’s upcoming September 7 event? Here are all the details on this.

Apple is getting ready to announce a raft of new products during an already-announced September 7 event, with expectations high. But what should we expect from the event that is now just days away?

iPhone 14 / Pro

Apple’s iPhone 14 lineup is something that we’ve been talking about for months now, and we’re expecting the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus to be more modest updates. 6.1 and 6.7 inches respectively, the two iPhones mean there will be no iPhone mini this year. But it’s the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max that we’re expecting to be the big announcements.

According to reports these two handsets will be the only ones to get a new A16 chip, while a 48-megapixel camera upgrade is also in the cards. Hopes are high that we will also see an always-on display added this year, too. But those buying an iPhone 14 or iPhone 14 Plus will have to make do with the same A15 Bionic from last year, not that it was a slow chip by any means.

Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE, Apple Watch Pro

Apple is expected to announce three new Apple Watches during its September 7 event, with the refreshed Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE likely to be simple speed bumps with perhaps new colors available. The Apple Watch Pro is expected to be a different beast, though. Rumors of a 45mm size and a more rugged design are abound, but we haven’t seen any actual images of this thing. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too much longer to find out what the Apple Watch Pro will actually look like.

AirPods Pro v2

There is a slim chance that Apple could refresh the AirPods Pro earbuds next week, although little is known about them. Some rumors have them coming with a new design that shortens their stem, but we can expect great sound, active noise cancelation support, and more.

Apple is streaming its event on Wednesday, September 7 and you can watch along on YouTube, the Apple website, and via the Apple TV app, too.
